The NBA season’s first month is complete, and what an exciting month it was. From buzzer-beaters to hungry teams ready to prove a point, the first month of the 2017-2018 season was a classic.
Chris Paul is heading to the Houston Rockets. Adrian Wojnarowski, of The Vertical, reported that the Los Angeles Clippers made the move early Wednesday morning.
Paul did the Clippers a favor here, as he opted into his contract – which was worth $24.2 million. This then allowed the Clippers to trade Paul for assets.
In the deal, Houston sends role players to the Clippers. Most notably are point guard Patrick Beverley, and shooting guard Lou Williams.
Monday night was the inaugural NBA Awards show, as some of the league’s best players were honored. The event was televised on TNT and was held at Basketball City in New York City.
Awards were handed out to players in six different categories: Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man, Most Improved Player, Coach of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player.
